The Sphere - Windless

I made three concepts I submitted for a "Windless (Dedication)" Cover project which was organised by W4SP at WTCMC (World Trace Center Muzak Community) and composer Mike Strickland.
I tried to do my best to evoke as many things as possible through this picture. I wanted a drawn visual, both modern and a bit retro too. The pattern of white leaves floating from the top to the bottom of the image without any breath of wind (windless) can also represent leaves or the infamous sheets of paper that fell on the Austin J. Tobin Plaza that day. Most important elements from The Plaza such as The Sphere and the bottom of a tower are obviously evoking the place where Windless music was heard / filmed by Jack Taliercio. I also placed the letters here on purpose to make a reference to the colorful posters placed more above.
